Accountability is focus of scorecard
The Balanced Scorecard approach was developed at Harvard Business School as a management and measurement system to create sustainable high performance in an organization. It is used as both a roadmap to set direction and a dashboard to check progress.
The Douglas County School System Balanced Scorecard was developed to help drive the District's System Improvement Plan 2010 forward. Accountability is built in with detailed measures. Scorecard objectives have detailed action plans and measures that will impact student achievement, equity, efficient and effective support operations, safe and orderly school environments and community collaboration. The scorecard will help the Douglas County School System align all of its resources behind the District's core business of teaching and learning.
The Douglas County School System Balanced Scorecard translates our vision into everyday action and drives our goals to measurable results. It will help place resources where they are needed to achieve our mission to provide the best education possible for each and every student.
