He attended the historically private middle/high school, Georgia Military College Preparatory Academy for 6 years and graduated with distinction in 2007. After graduating high school, Lee left his hometown to attend college at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia, where he studied mathematics with a focus in actuarial science. While at Armstrong, he was inducted into 2 national honor societies - Pi Mu Epsilon and Omicron Delta Kappa; and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics, with high honors (magna cum laude).

In 2012, Lee moved to Atlanta, Georgia to become a mathematics teacher at Lithia Springs High School. Since 2014, Lee has served as the mathematics department chair, where he established and chartered the school’s first national mathematics honor society, Mu Alpha Theta. He currently teaches Post-AP Engineering Calculus and AP Calculus AB/BC. He was recently recognized as 2017 STAR Teacher for Lithia Springs High School and the Douglas County School System. He is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia with a master of education in Educational Administration & Policy.
