Bonjour tout le monde et bienvenue au site de Madame Lekkou!!!!!!!!

My name is Mme. Lekkou (A.K.A Angelique). I am a native European, born in Athens Greece. I was educated for most of my life in Europe and graduated from a bilingual French Private High school. I began foreign language courses in 2nd and 3rd grade. I am fluent in four languages and started as a private French tutor while I was in Greece.

I was teaching internet foreign language course for a satellite American college (City Colleges of Chicago) that offered an Associate degree for military officers in Germany for a couple of years while I was staying there with my husband and oldest son.

Coming to the United States, I started teaching again both Greek and French. I obtained my GA teaching certification and began a French program for one of the Middle schools in the Savannah Chatham Public schools where I worked for about four years. While working as the only French teacher at Southwest Middle school I enjoyed teaching both FLES and High school credit advance classes for all the grade levels (6th, 7th and 8th grades).

When I relocated to the Atlanta area I started working mid-year with the Cobb county schools and I got a long term supply teaching job with the Lost Mountain Middle school and North Cobb High School.

I finally started with Lithia Springs High in 2007 and worked with the French III-IV-V-VII-VIII WONDERFUL LIONS. This year I will be teaching French II and Level III.

I am a mother of two boys Carl a sophomore in High school, Carl and a sophomore in college, George who is studying at GA State (GO Panthers!!!). I have been married to my husband John for the last 20 +++ years. As a family we enjoy travelling in general and visiting Europe every summer because I have friends and family overseas.

I love working with the Lithia Springs families, students and teachers. I believe it is a wonderfull community and I am looking forward to a much more exciting year with whatever that entails.

Hope to hear from you soon!!!!!!!!!!

Amicalement

Madame Lekkou
