B.S. English, UWG, 2006, Magna Cum Laude, Honors College Graduate.

I began teaching Spring Semester, 2008, here at LSHS.

Long time residents of Douglas County will remember Ken's and Mazzio's Pizza, where I entered the working world at 16, becoming manager of my own store at 19. Including a brief stint with Pizza Hut, I stayed in this field for ten years.

I took a break from making pizza long enough to serve my country in the U.S. Army from 1987-1989 as a communications specialist. I was Honorably Discharged as an SP4, recieving AAM and ARCOM service awards.

From 1992-2008 I worked with two local manufacturing firms, Austral Insulated Products and MBCI.

I have a wife, Tura, and two children, a son named Zack and a stepson named Zac. I am a 1984 graduate of LSHS, and earned my B.S. in English from University of West Georgia in 2006. I began teaching at LSHS Spring 2008.

My wife and I met through mutual friends in 2001, and married on my birthday, June 28, in 2002. She is still my best birthday present ever.

My son graduated from the IB program at DCHS in 2012.

My stepson graduated from CHHS in 2010.

I enjoy spending time with my family, bicycling, running and reading (of course).
